User Experience Designer • Graphic Designer • Community Leader

Hello, my name is Christine Fajardo. I have over 20 years of experience solving problems as a designer.

User Experience Design

I spent almost 17 years as a graphic designer before pivoting to UX. The things that made me successful as a graphic designer are the things that advantage me as a UX designer: my curiosity, my ability to imagine and visualize multiple solutions, my habit of asking questions, and my innate awareness that form follows function.

Graphic Design

I began my career as a graphic designer in 1999 with my first internship in Portsmouth, NH. I then spent nearly ten years working in print and publications before moving into advertising, where I cut my teeth in the world of digital design. In 2011, I earned an MFA in Graphic and Interactive Design from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and began teaching graphic design as an adjunct instructor at three of Philly’s leading design programs. All the while, I’ve kept up a thriving freelance business on the side, where I get to work with a variety of clients on a range of cool projects. For me, graphic design is my happy place.

Community Leader

When I’m not putting pencil to paper (or sharpie to sticky note), I enjoy engaging with my community—both as a designer and as a neighbor. Since starting my career 20 years ago, I’ve been active as a volunteer serving on multiple boards, including my current role as Programming Director for the New Hampshire chapter of UXPA. I also volunteer with multiple organizations to help my city and my state prosper. Most recently, I was elected to Manchester’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen as Alderman in Ward 4.
